HPC’s Custom Game is Hot
As more and more residential and commercial settings are heating up their outdoor gathering spaces to meet growing demand, the need for customization is growing. HPC has long accepted custom work, but the increased product demand provided an opportunity to improve our custom services.
Director of Engineering Palani Ammasai recognized that opportunity and got to work on improving HPC’s custom offerings. He started at the beginning – by simplifying the order process.
“I believe that you serve the customer as quickly as possible so that you have more opportunity to serve them,” said Palani. Working with the team, he streamlined the process to reduce the time needed to get from drawings to production. He also brought all information and documentation in a single packet, making it easier for the customer to see exactly what was in the custom package.
That small change, along with better custom capabilities visibility, has resulted in a dramatic increase in custom orders each week. But Palani and his team didn’t stop at the order process.
All HPC burners are CSA certified. However, getting custom orders certified is challenging because they don’t fit the standards of stock products. Palani and the team worked to standardize many of the elements in a custom product while allowing the flexibility to customize.
As a result, HPC is awaiting final notification of CSA certification for its custom products. HPC would be the first to achieve custom CSA certification.

On the Road, Again!

The Forno de Pizza, one of our newest products, is included in our training. Upon seeing it in person, many have commented on how beautiful the oven is and that pictures don’t do justice for the mosaic tile on the dome. Seeing the products in person gives you a completely different perspective and allows you to better sell to your customers.
We receive lots of positive feedback about the onsite training as well as our video training. Many of you have been amazed by the people and resources we bring to support HPC products. That’s because we believe in them and we’re here to support you.

Send photos of great projects to chade@hpcfire.com. Be sure to include project details and contact information of the photographer if they are professional images. We want to show off all the great work you are doing and give customers ideas for creating their own personalized backyard environments.
